Five papers and five institutions announced in the popular medical field of "Cell" in 2015
Following the successful publication of the special issue of "2014 Chinese Scientists and Cell Press" last year, this year, the Chinese Journal of Science and Technology and the American Cell Publishers once again held hands.
On the morning of January 19, 2016, the Chinese Journal of Science and Technology held a press conference in Beijing, which announced “2015 Cell Press China Paper/Institution”, five representative papers and five research units in five hot areas.
The selected annual papers are:
From the field of stem cell science, with Zhao Yang and Deng Hongkui as communication authors, Peking University as the first completion unit, published in the journal of Cell magazine, a state similar to extraembryonic endoderm (XEN) mediates the process of chemical reprogramming. The transformation of somatic cells into pluripotent stem cells";
From the field of epigenetics, with Tang Fuyue, Qiao Jie as the author of the communication, Peking University as the first completion unit, published in the "Cell" magazine cover "An overview of the transcriptome and DNA methylation group of human primordial germ cells" ;
From the field of gene editing and structure, Wang Yanli is the author of the communication, and the Institute of Biophysics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences is the first completion unit. It is published in the journal Cell, "The Structure and Molecular Mechanism of the New Interval Sequences of the PAM-Dependent Sequence of the CRISPR-Cas System". ;
From the field of cancer and RNA research, with Song Erwei as the author of the communication, Sun Yat-sen University as the first completion unit, published in the "Cell Cancer" magazine cover "The long non-coding RNA NKILA interacting with NF-κB in the cytoplasm by regulating IκB phosphoric acid Inhibition of breast cancer metastasis;
From the field of plant science, the author of the species Kang Kang, the Institute of Botany of the Chinese Academy of Sciences as the first completion unit, published in the "Cell" magazine cover "COLD1 gene confers cold tolerance to rice".
The five annual institutions selected were the Shanghai Institute of Life Sciences of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Peking University, the Institute of Biophysics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Zhongshan University and Fudan University.
It is understood that the selection is based on the "Science News" 2015 "Chinese Scientists and Cell Press" special issue published by the Chinese Journal of Science and Technology and the American Cell Publishers. The special issue contains 92 high-level research papers published in the "Cell" magazine and sub-published in China as the first completion unit, and systematically introduces the research experience of Chinese scientists who have obtained these research results and their teams.
As a third-party review, the China Journal of Science and Technology has invited some of the reviewers of the Cell Publishing House and well-known life science experts at home and abroad to select the annual papers from the papers selected for the “Special Issues”. At the same time, the number of papers included in the “special issue” and the international influence of the corresponding journals were comprehensively selected, and the “2015 China Annual Institution” was selected.
The "special issue" and related activities are the deep cooperation between the top international academic journals and Chinese journals, further strengthening the multi-level and multi-field information exchange between the two sides, broadening the communication channels and dissemination methods of life science research, and building a high level. The platform for the exchange and cooperation of international academic journals has also laid a solid foundation for the comprehensive strategic cooperation between the Chinese Journals and the American Cell Publishing House in various fields.
It is reported that in 2015, the "scores" of Chinese scientists published in "Cell" and its sub-publishes have steadily increased, and continue to maintain a large development momentum. The number of “good performance papers” in the field of life sciences in China has maintained a clear upward trend, and the quantity and quality of local original scientific research has also steadily increased. Among the papers selected for the "special issue", many achievements have attracted much attention, causing a lot of "waves" in the field of life sciences, highlighting the significant contribution of Chinese scientists to the global life sciences.
